Dublin student sadly dies following kayaking accident in Slovenia

The Department Of Foreign Affairs has sadly confirmed that a 20-year-old student from Dublin has tragically died during a kayaking trip in Slovenia.

20 year old Conor Keleghan, from Coolmine, Blanchardstown, sadly died after he got into difficulty while paddling in the Soca River on Sunday afternoon.  Conor was understood to be on the trip which was organised by his college, Colaiste Dhulaigh.

The department  say that the other students who accompanied Conor on the trip are expected to arrive home in today.
