Plans are afoot to build a new National Children’s Science Centre in the capital, to be completed by 2018.

If the planning application is successful, the centre will be built in the old north wing of the National Concert Hall on Earlsfort Terrace. Plans also include opening out on to the Iveagh Gardens at the back.

The National Children’s Science Centre will be named the Exploration Station, and is scheduled to open in late 2018.
