Drogheda held two very successful, enjoyable and memorable Fleadh festivals in both 2018 and 2019 with everyone happy who attended and performed.
But perhaps eyebrows will be raised amongst Drogheda residents after the Dundalk Argus newspaper’s front page claims Dundalk organisers say they want the Fleadh and can stage an even bigger and better even that the south county Louth neighbours.
The two biggest towns in Ireland are both rivals and friends in many ways, but it’s unlikely the news that the Argus reports will go down well with Drogheda residents and organisers who arguably held the best Fleadh in years.
