PSNI officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident in Belfast overnight.
It is understood that a man in his 40s was shot in both legs in what’s believed to be a paramilitary-style attack.
The man was rushed to hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
There has been a resurgence of violence in the north in recent months, with many pointing to Brexit and the likely return of a hard border as the main factors.
