Northern Ireland’s Minister for Agriculture Edwin Poots has tested positive for Covid-19 it has been revealed.
According to BBC News, Poots was tested twice for the virus whilst attending hospital for surgery to remove his appendix.
It is understood that Poots first tested negative for the virus before testing positive following another test.
BBC News reports that Poots is currently self isolating despite not experiencing any symptoms.
