The local community in and around Nenagh in Co. Tipperary will soon benefit from an €8m investment to redevelop a five-acre site, with the goal of constructing new retail outlets and a health care centre.
The vacant Nenagh Shopping Centre currently stands at the site. The land has been purchased by local businessman Martin Healy.
Zest Health Care, which has a presence already in Mallow, Co Cork, are reportedly in negotiations to open up a new facility in the Nenagh site.
It is expected that the investment will bring about the creation of about 200 new jobs.
