The Green Party leader Eammon Ryan has said that he acknowledges that there are some contradictions in the Government’s advice over Covid-19 restrictions.
Speaking on RTE’s Today with Sarah McInerney programme, Ryan said that he fully understands how the public will be left confused by the latest round of restrictions.
Ryan told the programme that the situation wasn’t black and white but reiterated that the Government’s main priority was to get schools open and vital non Covid-19 medical services back up and running.
The Green party leader said he is well aware that people will be questioning the guidelines especially no more than six people can gather in one person’s home but 20 to 30 children will be back in the classroom in a couple weeks of time.
He added that the situation was all about risk assessment and essential services must return.
