The Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan has signed into law that Ukrainian people can immediately swap their driving licences for Irish ones.
Their new licences will be valid for 12 months and will apply to cars only.
Given the fact that Ukrainian people aren’t part of the European Union, many people are questioning why the government is bending over backwards so much to do whatever they can for the thousands of people coming into the country.
