Tensions are high around the country with protests popping up left, right and centre, but likewise we live in a democracy where people should be allowed protest peacefully without being attacked or intimidated.
East Wall protesters say that it’s lucky someone wasn’t killed after a thug hit one of the protesters.
Emergency services including an ambulance and gardai rushed to the scene where onlookers said women and children were terrified.
Thankfully, The Liberal understands that the man who was hit is thankfully ok after the ordeal and doesn’t appear to have long-lasting injuries. He’s said to still be in shock today however.
