There have been eight hospital admissions following turbulence on a Doha to Dublin aircraft, reports RTE.

Six passengers and six members of the cabin crew were hurt amid turbulence on the trip from Qatar to Ireland, according to an earlier statement from Dublin Airport.

About two hours into the journey, the jet “experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey,” which is when the injuries happened, reports RTE.

Just before 1:00 pm, Qatar Airways flight QR017 from Doha touched down at Dublin Airport.

After the jet landed, emergency vehicles, including ambulances, were visible on the ground nearby.

The Dublin Airport Authority (daa) said: “Eight on board were subsequently taken to hospital. The return flight to Doha (flight QR018) is scheduled to operate as normal this afternoon, albeit with a delay. Flight operations at Dublin Airport were unaffected and continue as normal this afternoon,” reports RTE.
