Gardaí in Co Galway have confirmed that eight people have been taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision this evening.
It is understood the eight people were taken to University Hospital Galway following the incident on the Clifden Road, at approximately 5.15pm.
Gardaí say one of the victims suffered serious injuries, whilst seven others were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
