An elderly couple died holding hands just a couple of minutes apart after being infected with coronavirus on a cruise ship, their pastor has confirmed. A live funeral for Jerry Austin Williamson and his wife Frances Jewel Bond Williamson was held in Long Beach, Mississippi, this week after the couple tragically died from covid-19 last week.
During the virtual service, the pastor said that Jerry and Frances, both 72, died just six minutes apart after having been married for 50 years. The pastor went on to say that the couple died after being infected with coronavirus from a cruise ship, adding that they liked to surf and did not know how dangerous coronavirus was at the time, reports The Sun Herald.
