Three scumbags broke into an elderly man’s home in Graiguecullen in Co Carlow on Saturday evening.
It’s understood that the 64-yr-old man has special needs and received a serious beating to his head and body.
The thugs screamed at the man for money, which he could only supply €100 during the burglary.
The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for the beating and is now said to be recovering at home.
Gardai say that they’re looking for the three thugs and that anyone with information or was in the area of Graiguecullen who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to the Confidental Line on 1800-66-61-11.
