An 81-year-old man lost his life, and a 50-year-old woman was seriously injured in a two car collision last night.
The collision happened at Ballylough, Ferns, Co. Wexford, at about 10.30pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was rushed to Wexford General Hospital with serious injuries.
The second car left the scene of the crash.
The N11 between Scarawalsh and Ferns is currently closed and Gardaí are calling for any witnesses to come forward.
