An elderly woman has been left in a critical condition after being struck by a car in an Irish county.
The collision happened on the R165 in Bailieboro town, Co. Cavan, shortly after 7pm on Tuesday.
The victim, aged in her 80s, was rushed to Cavan General Hospital for treatment.
