The negotiating teams from Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are expected to meet on Wednesday to discuss the guidelines for a possible program for the government.
The parties are trying to agree on a document that paves the way for in-depth discussions with other small parties and Independents that would be required to form a government with much of the stable work.
These discussions between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are described as progressing regularly but nothing concrete has been done.
However, it seems that a certain distance has to be covered before the finish line is reached for both parties.
It’s understood however that there is constant contact between the parties, but much of it focuses exclusively on the Covid crisis 19.
