Aontú Leader Peadar Tóibín has called for TD’s pension age to be increased in wake of recent proposals by Fine Gael to increase the State pension age.
Tóibín who has labelled Fine Gael’s plans as an injustice, said that TD’s should have their own pension age increased to the age of 66.
Tóibín’s comments come as Fine Gael plan to increase the State pension age from 65 to 67.
Currently sitting TD’s can claim a pension at the age 53 of the wish to do so.
