Good news for households this afternoon, as Electric Ireland has announced a reduction of its gas tariffs.
According to company sources, the company says its standard unit price will drop by 2.5% from April 1, which will mean a reduction in household bills of 2.1% on average.
This price reduction will benefit around 130,000 Electric Ireland gas customers.
