The European Medicines Agency have said that a decision over the use of Covid-19 vaccine boosters will be made next month.
It is understood that the agency is currently reviewing data from Pfizer and Moderna which outlines the data on booster vaccines.
The EMA also say they will make a decision on whether or not boosters will be authorised for elderly and vulnerable in October.
It is believed that the review is being conducted as recent reports suggest that vaccine immunity wanes over time.
