In an emotional PrimeTime show aired last night on RTE, Philip Cairns’ mother Alice appealed for any further information into the whereabouts of her son.
The Dublin lady was quite candid when she stated that she “didn’t think it would go on this long, almost 30 years”.
The aftermath of a woman coming forward to gardai last month implicating Eamon Cooke to an alleged assault on the 13-yr-old has prompted new calls to solve the case once and for all.
Mrs Cairns thanked the woman for coming forward and giving her evidence irrespective of waiting 30 years to do so.
She appealed for anyone to contact the gardai if they know of anything in relation to Philip or indeed his schoolbag which was found 6 days after he went missing.
The garda confidential line is 1800-666-111.
