There were emotional and joyous scenes in Shannon Airport this afternoon as 120 children and young adults with special needs arrived in Ireland and will spend one month here for rest and recuperation to improve their health here.

They’re the third generation of victims from the horrific catastrophe.

Amazing and lovely people who are host families greeted the Belarus people with hugs, kisses and cheers.

Fabulous work has been done at international level to build a new containment shelter near reactor four, but it will only be viable for 100 years whereas some of the nuclear fallout could last for 24,000 years.
