
Almost 200 people gathered in Galway City on Sunday afternoon to protest against the homeless and demand more government action.
RTE report that 452 people are homeless in the city and county on Sunday night.
A Galway charity announced that it would submit a list of applications to tackle the crisis to the Galway City Council at its monthly Monday evening meeting.
This includes the fact that the Galway City Council is buying empty houses and apartments to house the homeless, and that the homeless crisis is a national emergency.
