In yet the clearest sign that the hated utility’s watery grave is looming ever larger, it has been announced today that 1,200 jobs will be gone over the next six years.
The spokesperson said that the move is “part of a larger business plan agreed when Irish Water was set up.”
According to the same source, Irish Water would want to save €1.1 billion by 2021, though the company is expected to be consigned to one of the darker chapters in Irish history books much earlier than that.
