The title “Taoiseach” will soon be a memory in Enda Kenny’s past.
It’s looking increasingly likely that Micheal Martin will garner enough support to become the next Taoiseach of Ireland on April 6th leaving the Mayo Fine Gael TD to contemplate how badly he ran the recent election.
Having practically begged Independents, such as the Healy-Rae’s and Shane Ross to back him, Kenny has exhausted all avenues and cannot get enough numbers to return as the leader of the country.
As it stands, Kenny has a guaranteed 51 votes with Martin on 43.
However, leaked reports this weekend suggest Independents will support Fianna Fail’s Micheal Martin for Taoiseach on April 6th.
