Get out and enjoy the last bit of sun this evening because it’s not here to last according to Met Éireann. Today, the top temperature will reach between 10 to 13 degrees with a light southwesterly breeze.

However tonight, Cloud will spread from the west with outbreaks of rain gradually pushing eastwards. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees, coolest in the southeast.

Monday we’re back to rain and will see scattered showers becoming more frequent by afternoon and evening with some sunny spells. Cool with top temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees and a moderate northwesterly breeze.

The outlook for the week is as follows:

Tuesday is expected to be bright and sunny during the morning, and generally dry but by midday heavy/thundery/ hail showers developing across the country. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees. Most of the showers will dry out overnight but will remain cold and frosty with lowest temperatures of 0 to -2 degrees.

Most places dry for the day on Wednesday with good sunshine during the morning, but cloud increasing in the afternoon with rain to follow overnight. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

A Rather cold and cloudy start to Thursday with scattered outbreaks of showery rain;  becoming brighter and drier in the evening. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees. Mostly dry but cold overnight with frost.

Friday will begin cloudy at first with scattered showers but and some bright spells later. Top temperatures 8 or 9 degrees.
