Enoch Burke will remain in jail for Christmas again as his family gets removed from Court of Appeal

Enoch Burke’s mother, Martina Burke, and his sister Ammi were escorted from the Court of Appeal by three police officers after they entered the courtroom and began shouting at their lawyer and judge, reports RTE.

Mr Burke was giving evidence in court via video link from Mountjoy Prison when his sister and mother burst into the courtroom.

They shouted at barrister Ioin Lawlor BL, a barrister for the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC), to leave the court.

The Burkes said the court ordered parties involved in the case to participate only via video link.

They accused the court of “making a fool” of Burke and committing corruption by allowing Lawlor to attend the trial when Burke was denied permission to appear in person.

When gardaí asked Ammie and Martina Burke to leave the room, they also asked Mr Lawler to leave the room.

Three officers then approached Burks and removed them from the room, reports RTE.
