The Department of Integration has confirmed that 76 asylum seekers have no state-provided accommodation, reports RTE.
In total, as of Monday, 83 employees had to cancel, 7 places were secured retrospectively.
On Tuesday, the cabinet decided to increase the weekly benefit for asylum seekers whose accommodation is not offered by €75.
In total, they will receive €113.50 per week for as long as they remain homeless, reports RTE.
A cabinet subcommittee is expected to discuss proposals to change the way Ukrainian refugees are admitted to Ireland on Monday.
Possible changes include a proposal that new arrivals spend 90 days in state-provided housing, after which they must find a place to live, reports RTE.
