ESB crews will resume work this morning in an effort to restore power to homes and businesses across the country following Storm Brendan.
It is expected that crews will look to restore power to thousands homes and businesses this morning.
Although ESB Networks have confirmed that power has been restored to a vast majority of customers, they have said that approximately 30,000 homes and businesses were still without power on Monday evening.
It is understood that the Wicklow, Wexford and Waterford areas are the worst affected, whilst a number of homes and businesses in the Northwest are still without power this morning.
The ESB say power was restored to approximately 100,000 homes and businesses during the course of the day on Monday.
