ESB customers were being overcharged for more than a decade, it has emerged recently. In other words, the ESB were helping themselves to people’s money for over ten years.
Now, people will receive just €50 in compensation.
Customers were probably overcharged by many multiples €50 over that period, yet this is the crumbs that the ESB has seen fit to award those whose accounts were plundered on the regular.
