EU is blocking protection of our airports says Aontu leader but Green Party leader blames shared border with Six counties
Aontu leader Peadar Tóibin has lashed out on Facebook posting a photo of Dublin Airport Departures and Arrivals.
In his Facebook post, Tóibin says
“Another busy day at Dublin Airport. The government still refuse mandatory self isolation. Yet you can’t go 6km down the road. The government the government have admitted to me both verbally and in a pq (parliamentary question) that the EU is blocking the protection of the airports”.
Earlier Newstalk reported the Green Party Leaded Eamon Ryan blamed the “open border with Northern Ireland” as the main reason why the government won’t introduce mandatory quarantine for arrivals into Ireland.
