European scorcher: Tourists travelling to the continent advised to travel with caution as heatwave moves in




Tourists travelling to Europe are being advised to travel with caution as the continent is bracing it self for a sweltering heatwave.

The warning comes as temperatures are expected to exceed 40C in the coming days as warm air moves up from Africa.

The incoming heatwave which could see Ireland experiencing temperatures of 27C or above, countries such as Spain, France, Germany and Belgium are preparing for a scorcher as temperatures are expected to be well above 30C.

Although the hot spell is not expected to hit Ireland until later in the week, tourists travelling to the continent are advised to extra care as temperatures have already reached record highs.
