Tesco Ireland has announced that it will pay a 10% bonus to employees working in its stores and sales to reflect the dramatic increase in demand resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The supermarket announced that employees will receive a 10% increase in hourly wages as a thank you for all the hard work and effor they’re putting in to help keep shelves stocked up.
The bonus has been backdated to March 9th and runs until at least the 1st of May, when the situation will then be reviewed by management.
Tesco said demand for groceries and household items has increased in stores and on their online service since the government increased its response to coronavirus.
