Fr Brian D’Arcy spoke compassionately on Claire Byrne Live about how over the course of 52 years he’s been there for people in their hour of need as they pass from this life to the next.
The discussion was about assisted suicide and Fr Brian made valid points about how those who are most in need are the very ones who need the most help to die with dignity, but most importantly naturally.
Fr Brian said that it wasn’t for him or for anyone to take a life from in the womb to natural death.
He said that every single weekend he’d be at a bedside of someone who was dying, asking them what they would like him to do to help and listening to their needs, fears, hopes and prays.
The much loved priest said that he assured them the God they love would be there waiting for them.
