The good people of Newtownmountkennedy are out peacefully protesting again today.
They have been out for close to 7 weeks at this stage, fighting for themselves, their community and basically for Ireland itself.
Gardai have been accused of acting the absolute thug with these decent patriots on Thursday night, but thankfully things seem to be more peaceful this afternoon.
However, The Liberal has learned that a number of protesters have received abusive calls to their work phones and have received abused direct messages on social media.
We also understand that a number of people have had to deactivate their LinkedIn account due to the amount of abuse they were getting publicly including being called “racist” and “far right”.
Either way, decent people are doing all they can to continue their peaceful fightback in the county Wicklow town.
