The MEP candidates for Dublin took part in a debate on last night’s Claire Byrne show – even though many candidates have called it pure censorship that not all candidates were allowed take part in the live TV debate.
The debate has been described on social media as “extremely boring” with former Minister for Justice Fine Gael’s Frances Fitzgerald appearing to get the most airtime.
One social media user posted:
“The majority of candidates in the studio appear to be of the hard-line left wing element and all sounded like a broken record, especially Gary Gannon”.
Irish Freedom Party’s Hermann Kelly and Independent Ben Gilroy were two of those “excluded” from the live debate and had a one minute presentation along with Gemma O’Doherty.
