Face masks to become mandatory in English shops

Shoppers in England will be required to wear face masks whilst shopping in supermarkets and other retail outlets.

In a move to halt the spread of the virus, the British Prime Minister Borris Johnson confirmed that face masks will be compulsory from July 24th.

Under the new guidelines the general public will be required to wear a mask whilst entering a retail outlet.

However children under the age of 11 and those with disabilities will not be required to wear a mask.

It is understood that those who fail to comply with the new regulations will face a fine of up to £150.

The British Government say they have decided to make the wearing of face masks mandatory as new study’s show that they help when it comes to stopping the spread of the virus.
