The family of a pregnant Co Armagh woman who was stabbed to death in her home have called on her killer to take responsibility for what he did.

Natalie McNally was found dead at her home in Silverwood Green, Lurgan on Monday night.

The 32-year-old is said to have been attacked the night before. She was 15 weeks pregnant.

This afternoon a brother and uncle spoke to the media at a press conference where a £20,000 reward was offered.

Niall McNally said his sister was the best person he has ever met and said the whole family was devastated at being deprived of the opportunity to meet her unborn child.

He said his sister’s killer denied her “the opportunity to be a mother” and her parents and two other siblings couldn’t believe she wouldn’t join them at the Christmas table.

Mr McNally said: “I am Niall, the youngest of Natalie’s three brothers, and I would like to appeal to my sister’s killer to do the decent thing and confess to her murder,” reports RTE.

Natalie’s uncle John McStravick said: “Natalie was a gorgeous, kind generous girl who went the extra mile for her friends and family, but also for her pets or any animals,” reports RTE.

Lead investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell said he believes the killer was a man who was seen carrying a backpack near the murdered woman’s home at 8:52 p.m. Sunday night and abandoned around 9:30 p.m.

He wore flashy white sneakers. Investigators from the PSNI Chief Investigation Team released CCTV footage of the suspect.

DCI Caldwell said: “Today, we are releasing CCTV footage, which shows a man, carrying a rucksack, arriving at Silverwood Green on Sunday night at 8.52pm,” reports RTE.

The £20,000 reward has been offered by independent charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Ms McNally’s murder.

A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has since been released to allow for further investigation, the PSNI said.
