The leading fashion and makeup accessory store Claire’s have removed three products from its stores due to asbestos fears.
In a statement the company confirmed that it was pulling the following items: Claire’s Eye Shadow (batch no: 08/17), Claire’s Compact Powder (batch no: 07/15), and Claire’s Contour Palette (batch no: 04/17).
It is the recall comes afer the US health regulatory authority said that the products could be contaminated with asbestos fibres.
However Claire’s have moved quickly to reassure the public by saying the product recall us purely a precautionary measure and their is conclusive evidence to suggest that the products are unsafe.
