32-year-old Andrzej Piolunowicz, father of the 11-month old baby Karol Rozycki, who sadly passed away in Killarney in tragic circumstances, has died in hospital.
The man, who was the baby’s partner, was found near the baby with serious injuries. He was transferred to Cork University Hospital but has died tonight. It is believed the injuries were self-inflicted.
The baby’s remains will be flown to his mother’s hometown of Bielsko-Biala, just outside Krakow in Poland, where he will be buried.
Gardai are treating the incident as a family tragedy and are not looking for anyone else in relation to the event.
