After twin sisters Eliza and Henrietta Huszti were discovered dead in the River Dee, their father believes that foul play was involved in their deaths, reports The Mirror.

The remains of the 32-year-old triplets were later found in the river close to their last known location after they inexplicably vanished from Aberdeen city centre early on January 7 of this year.

The events that led to their abrupt abduction and eventual deaths are still unknown, though, reports The Mirror.

The father of the ladies has now expressed his scepticism, adamant that their deaths were not caused by suicide or an accident. According to Miklos Huszti, his girls were lured to the river and killed.

Speaking to Hungarian media, the 63 year-old said: “I have no idea what happened to my daughters, but I am sure they did not commit suicide,” reports The Mirror.

In addition, he brought up an odd text message that Henrietta wrote to their landlady in the early hours of January 7 announcing that they would be leaving the property and would not be coming back. But according to the Mirror, when police went to their shared residence, they discovered that everything they owned, including Eliza’s phone, was still there.

“I believe that they did not send the SMS to their landlord, but someone else or others who cheated and kidnapped my children,” Mr Huszti stated. “I am sure that someone lured them to the waterfront and cruelly killed them,” reports The Mirror.

Although it has previously said that it has not discovered any proof of third-party involvement in the Huszti girls’ murders, Police Scotland has promised that every possibility is being looked into.

The sisters have been at the centre of a terrible tragedy. They are part of a triplet set with their brother Edit, who lives in Hungary. The Hungarian news agency SZON was informed by Mr. Huszti that “my son called me to say that they had probably found Henrietta,” reports The Mirror.

The father said that after a breakup with their mother, he had not spoken to his children for 12 years.

Following their separation, the sisters moved to Scotland and continued to communicate with their brother on a daily basis. They even called on New Year’s Eve and spoke carefree with their mother three days prior to their disappearance, reports The Mirror.
