A father confessed to beating a 70-yr-old man after allegedly seeing him sexually assault his 5-yr-old son in a park in Toulouse.
When police arrived they found the elderly man semi-conscious on the ground with severe swelling to his face. The father was still with him and admitted carrying out the assault while claiming the older man had attacked his young son.
Other witnesses told officers that the elderly suspect, who does not speak French, had previously behaved inappropriately toward other children in the park.
The suspect was taken to the emergency room. He is expected to be questioned once he is released from hospital.
