The death has been announced of Irish actress Rynagh O’Grady, who was best known for her work as Mary in Father Ted and for her work at the Abbey Theatre.
RTE reports that the Abbey Theatre described her as a “beloved friend and colleague”.
She appeared on screen in many films including A Love Divided and TV shows including Father Ted where herself and her on-screen husband John would be arguing and then would suddenly stop as Fr Ted came into their shop.
