Met Eireann has issued a new weather warning for snow and ice affecting 24 counties.
The Status Yellow warning, which will come into effect at 8am on Thursday and remain in place for 24h, covers all of Connacht, Leinster, and Munster.
The warning mentions a band of sleet and snow that will cross the country in that period, turning to rain across the west and south later in the day.
