Prison officials fear that disgraced former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein may “kill himself” as child trafficking paedophile billionaire Jefferey Epstein supposedly did in his secure jail cell.
Weinstein faced a litany of accusations of sexual misconduct, assault and rape a few years ago with the beginning of the #metoo movement and last Monday was convicted of rape and sexual assault in a New York.
Epstein, who was a close of associate of numerous Hollywood celebrities and powerful politicians such as former US President Bill Clinton, was found hanged in his high security New York City jail cell last August. However, speculation has since been rife that he was in fact murdered to silence him from naming other high-profile child rapists to mitigate his prison sentence.
Now authorities are considering Weinstein being kept in a private section of Rikers Island’s North Infirmary Command, which is for high-risk inmates, for his own safety.
This announcement has given to speculation online that Weinstein may be prepared to name names of other high-profile sex abusers and that because of this his life is under threat.
