Feel good story: Dublin Fire Brigade get reunited with baby boy they helped deliver earlier this month

It’s not easy giving birth, but it’s especially hard if you don’t make it to the hospital in time.

That’s exactly what happened when a mum-to-be rang for assistance three weeks ago.

First responders – Firefighter/Paramedics Robert Earley and Cian Malone assisted Jenni at her home in a Dublin suburb, when she realised her baby wasn’t going to wait for a hospital ward.

This week the little man was reunited with his two fire fighting friends in Dublin Fire Brigade.

They commented: “On arrival at the house the two reassured the young family and within ten minutes assisted in the delivery”.

Then the heroes brought the new mum and baby to the Coombe maternity hospital.

In a touching tribute to their heroism, the family have named their son Senan Robert Cian after the two officers.
