The Bank Holiday weekend has just gotten underway for many of us with most of expected to have three days off to do as we please, but if you have plans enjoy some outdoor activities over the coming weekend you may be happy to hear that Ireland will be considerably warmer than many places on the continent.
In what will be a welcome change to the weather, temperatures are expected to reach a pretty pleasant 22c.
In a turn of good weather which has already seen temperatures reach 19-20c in many places on Friday, it is expected that the remaining part of the weekend will get even better as prolonged spells of glorious sunshine is expected to last until Monday at least.
According to Met Eireann many areas will see high temperatures as a warm front sweeping in from the East will linger over Ireland for the coming days ahead.
Although temperatures are expected to range between 19-22c, the warm front could even see temperatures getting a little higher in some areas.
There you have it folks! It may be time to pull out the sun glasses and enjoy the odd ice-cream or two whilst out and about this weekend.
