A 19-year-old female has tragically died shortly after falling ill while celebrating her Debs.
The incident happened at a hotel in Ballinasloe, County Galway, overnight.
It is understood that the young woman began feeling unwell and an ambulance was called. She was rushed to Portiuncula Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The results of a post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
