There’s ferocious infighting going on in Fianna Fail over just who it was that outed Barry Cowen’s drink driving ban dating back to 2016.
Fingers are pointing and people are being called out over what is being described by insiders as an absolute disaster for the party with tempers flaring.
Barry Cowen was banned for 4 months after being caught drink driving on a provisional licence in 2016 after the All-Ireland.
Cowen is understood to be barely over the limit but nonetheless apologised in the Dail on Tuesday for his actions.
Now the blame game has started with some commentators suggesting that it was allegedly a someone close to the Fianna Fail party who told the media and not a member of opposition.
