Fianna Fáil on top as latest poll sees Fine Gael lose support




There has been a significant drop in support for the Fine Gael party as a new poll has revealed that Fianna Fáil are now five points ahead.

According to Sunday Times/ Behaviour & Attitudes June Poll, Leo Varadkar’s party have dropped five points to 23%.

The drop in support now means Mícheál Martin’s Fianna Fáil party are the most popular party, remaining unchanged on 28%.

The poll which was carried out at the end of May and the beginning of June, shows that Sinn Fein also saw a drop in support losing seven points to sit on 12%.

However it is promising news for the Greens and Labour who are up six points to 11%, and one point to 5% respectively.

Meanwhile the Independent Alliance and the Social Democrats have seen much of the same with both remaining unchanged at 3% and 1% respectively.

It is mixed results for the rest as Solidarity – People Before Profit stand at 2%, after losing a point, whilst Renua moved up a point to stand at 1%.

The poll also revealed that Aontu was also placed at 1%, whilst the Independents and others, had a significant gain of four points to stand at 13%.
