Fighting back? Arson suspected at building in Tallaght due to house migrants

The fire attack on a south Dublin building that was housing applicants for international protection is being looked into, reports RTE.

Around 11:00 p.m., an attack took place on St John’s House, an abandoned building on Tallaght’s High Street.

After emergency personnel were dispatched to the area, the fire was quickly contained.

It seems that a suspected pipe bomb was the reason, reports RTE.

The incident did not result in any injuries, and Tallaght gardaĆ have asked anyone with information or video to get in touch with them.

This is the second incident of this week that has occurred after an alleged arson attack on a facility in Clonmel, County Tipperary, that was intended to be used for the construction of modular homes for refugees, reports RTE.
